MANILA, Philippines -- Typhoon Bebeng didn’t stop sister brands Bench, Human and Kashieca from delivering a wild rendezvous between showbiz and fashion at Philippine Fashion Week, featuring  40 celebrity endorsers and over a hundred models wearing the brands’ trademark youthful casualwear.

The show started with a color revolution: the Human Holiday Collection featuring limited-edition pieces from  designer Joey Samson, mixing his signature androgynous designs with a splash of bold colors.

Among the key pieces for women were full-length dresses , printed denim shorts, skirts, harem pants and rompers.

 In keeping with Samson’s androgynous style aesthetic, male models came down the runway wearing mesh tops, slim wedding dresses for cheap , knee-length shorts, harem pants, and pleated skirts. Graffiti pants for both men and women were also staple pieces in the collection along with lace tights and colorful socks and stockings.

Meanwhile, Kashieca’s Holiday Collection was all about romance and long hemlines. Plaid, knee-length, high-waist skirts also swept the runway and were matched with knitted cardigans and loose shirts. Wide-legged, loose-fitting pants in soft fabrics were another fluid alternative, and made a languid contrast to structured shorts and cropped pants. For accessories, fringe necklaces in bright orange, fuchsia, and red complemented basic black shirts and little black dresses .

Kashieca’s new scent, Homage by Randy Ortiz, was also introduced during the show—along with stunning evening gowns stunning evening gowns that Ortiz designed that were inspired by the new scent.

Finally, the Bench Holiday Collection concluded the three-in-one show.  As if the Bench runway didn’t have enough stars, the collection featured shirts printed with stars and stripes as part of its army inspired line-up. In addition to its usual casual wear, the collection showed pieces in navy greens, khakis and military print.

Shirts and tank tops for both men and women were embellished with medal badges, shoulder caps romantic beach weddings big island , and high collars. The Bench Body collection was also shown during the show, styled by Noel Manapat.

Truly the three collections embody Bench’s crowdpleasing ideology:  Fashion is clothes. Fashion is trends. Fashion is fun. Fashion is art. Fashion is expression. But at its best, fashion is entertainment.
